OUR PROCESS AT TRINITY DESIGN

We are so happy to be working with you and look forward to getting started! You have entrusted us to design and guide your project, and we aim to make this experience not only fun but amazingly successful! You have chosen a company that strives for excellence in customer service and works hard to deliver the latest and greatest in the design world. Over the years, we have developed a specific design process that guides how we work through a project. Belo,w we have listed the 10 segments broken into 3 phases of our design process.

Phase 01

  • The beginning of your project will include collaborative meetings to clarify budget, direction, and procurement details, as well as decision-makers and point persons for communications. We will need all relevant information on your space, such as architectural drawings, site and project information for workers and deliveries, and contact information of all other parties that will be working on your project with us. We will meet with you in a few weeks to review and discuss the preliminary design ideas that will lead to a formal, approved design direction.

  • Based on your project’s requirements, initial design consultation, your preferences, and comments on our preliminary design concepts, a comprehensive design concept shall be prepared. It will include floor plan layout options for furnishings, color palette, material selections, initial furniture, lighting, and fabric selection.

  • The Concept will be presented for your comments and approval in digital drawings, photos, materials, fabric samples, and design boards to help convey the full concept and design plan. We will narrow your options on all the design elements and overall plan. If there are elements of the design that need to be redefined, researched, or sourced, we will do so quickly and verify for your final approval on those items. It is important to make design decisions expeditiously throughout these phases, as vendor pricing and product availability can often change if more than 30 days pass.

Phase 02

  • Once there is an approved design, the design will advance to developing the concept. This is where we will flesh out all the details and develop and finalize all structural elements, construction documents, and floor plans. We will work with the architect, contractor, and any subcontractors to develop the most cost-effective, time-effective, practical design in order to approve final drawings and layouts.

  • This is when the design begins to come to life. We will work with your contractor to ensure your space and property are protected. Noises, dust, and messes will be kept to a minimum. We will work closely with all parties to make sure the construction is well coordinated and the outcomes are as we all intend them to be. We will update you regularly on the progress.

  • Hard goods are the materials and surfaces that become part of the building, like flooring, built-in, and countertops. Soft goods are all things that are brought into the home but are not permanent. As the hard and soft goods are realized, each will be presented for approval. The pricing on the proposal will indicate the most accurate pricing available.

Phase 03

  • Once we receive a signed estimate and payment we will initiate orders immediately. We take care of all the details. We coordinate with the necessary parties regarding what goods are to be purchased and handled by our firm. For all materials purchased by out firm we will act as the purchasing agent on your behalf. All invoices and questions from vendors will be handled by Trinity Design. We will prepare all specifications and purchase orders. We will communicate will all vendors regarding ordering, expediting, quality and damage inspections, coordination and delivery or installation. We will keep you informed of any important developments as the purchasing process is carried out.

  • Your design comes to life during this phase. Wall coverings, paint colors, woodwork, and ceiling details are all put in their place. We will coordinate with the contractor to ensure all are installed as intended per the design plan.

  • While your hard goods are being installed, we will be receiving all your furniture and soft goods in our receiver’s warehouse (Yarnall, Sarasota). Everything will be inspected upon arrival. If found to be damaged, it will be returned for replacement. When all the hard goods are complete and a certificate of occupancy is approved by the contractor, we will coordinate the final delivery and installation.

We look forward to working with you and creating the dream home you desire.
